Turkmen Volunteers to participate in 6th International School of Belarusian Red Cross Society
On 25-30 July 2017, the Belarusian Red Cross Society will hold 6th international school for emergency preparedness, BelTA reports. The training will be attended by 120 volunteers from 10 countries. Among them are representatives of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Bulgaria, Latvia, Norway, Estonia, Qatar, Belarus Republic, as well as International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The experts from Belarus, Ukraine and Bulgaria will conduct the trainings. The venue of the exercises will be the branch of the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Studies of the Civil Protection University of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus (Borisov district). The volunteers will have to work out the actions in such situations as the explosion of the train with chemicals, deployment of a camp for victims, the evacuation of civil population with the help of helicopters and special sanitary all-terrain vehicles. The participants of the school will be also provided with master classes on the safety basics in aviation transport, emergency rescue operations using high-altitude equipment, rescue on fast water, search in the forest, restoration of family ties in conditions of emergencies, crowd psychology, readiness for work in conditions of congestion of people. The school training program will be culminated on 28 July. During the day (from 6 am on 28 July to 6 am on the 29 July), volunteers will demonstrate in practice all the gained skills: practicing assistance activities (first aid, psychosocial support), searching, sorting and transporting victims as a result of emergencies.
