Frankfurt am Main held a bike parade in honor of World Bicycle Day
In honor of the proclamation by the UN General Assembly on June 3rd of the World Bicycle Day, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the city of Frankfurt am Main organized a bicycle parade with the participation of diplomatic workers and Turkmen students studying in universities of Germany.
Such events, which unite hundreds of people, contribute to the promotion of popular and sports diplomacy and the establishment of trusting relations between nations.
So, in early May, at the initiative of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Germany, Turkmen students receiving education in Germany for the first time took part in international cycling competitions in Frankfurt am Main. These competitions have been held since 1962, in nominations for several distances for professionals, semi-professionals and cycling enthusiasts. Turkmen students made their debut in them, taking part in amateur competitions.
