Bidding on SCRMET: large batches of cotton yarn are sold for export
On Wednesday, September 14, 15 deals totaling $1.4 million and 76.1 million Turkmen manats were concluded at the auctions of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, ORIENT correspondent reports.
Representatives of the UAE, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan purchased a total of more than 500 thousand kg of various types of cotton yarn for foreign currency. The total amount of transactions amounted to $1.4 thousand.
Representatives of the UAE and Turkey concluded deals in national currency for the supply of 335 thousand kg. of different types of cotton yarn for a total of 11.2 million TMT.
A businessman from the UK purchased 12 thousand pieces of liter packages of 1% povidone-iodine solution produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. The total amount of the transaction amounted to 438.4 thousand TMT.
In the domestic market, local entrepreneurs purchased 30 thousand tons of granular technical sulfur for 64.5 million TMT.
