Winners of the "Caspian without Borders" contest will be awarded at the Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan


The participants of the VII International Caspian Media Forum, which will start its work in Astrakhan on September 8, will discuss the modern media industry and the specifics of its work in the new socio-economic conditions. The program of the meeting includes discussions, talk shows, master classes and other business and entertainment events.
On September 9, the main day of the forum, more than 10 business and other meetings are planned, including a plenary session named "Trends and Challenges of mass Communications", "League of Travel Journalists and Opinion Leaders" talk show, a debate "Meanings vs Forms", a master class on working in social networks and many others events. They will be attended by the heads of news agencies of the Caspian countries, as well as Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The organizers note that the participants will have the opportunity to communicate live with famous journalists, photographers, bloggers, political scientists, as well as leaders of public organizations in Russia and the countries of the Caspian region. More than 300 participants from 17 regions of Russia and six countries have registered on the media forum's website. Among them are editors-in-chief and managers of more than 50 major media outlets from different countries.

Also, on September 9, the media forum will host an award ceremony for the winners of the "Caspian without Borders" contest for the best journalistic work, which was held in several categories: "Photo Caspian Sea", " Man and the Sea», «Discovering the Caspian countries», «The Caspian Sea is the territory of health", "Fresh Look". This year's creative competition was attended by 43 participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Turkmenistan. They submitted 113 applications with 162 works.
The journalist of the ORIENT website also took part in the tournament and is now among the finalists. On September 9, the competition jury will announce the names of the winners and distribute the places among them.
The idea of the forum was born in 2014 at the summit of the five countries of the Caspian Sea- Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and for the first time it was held in Astrakhan in 2015. During the forum, the Caspian Editorial Office and the Caspian Expert Club were established in the Astrakhan region.
