The list of documents for obtaining a visa to Türkiye for citizens of Turkmenistan has become known
Citizens of Turkmenistan wishing to visit Türkiye for a period more than one month can apply for a tourist visa for this, the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan told ORIENT.
The following documents are required to apply for a long term tourist visa:
– passport valid for at least 6 months,
– completed visa application form,
– insurance for a foreign trip (issued in State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan),
– copy of the internal passport (1,3,5,9 and 32 pages) and passport (home page with photo),
– two 5x6 photos,
– a document on the income status of the visa applicant and/or the inviting person (must be obtained at the place of work),
– booking a plane ticket,
– hotel reservation or invitation from a Turkish citizen.
Depending on the purpose of the trip, the following documents may also be required:
– certificates confirming the return to Türkiye (documents for a land plot, work permit, payroll information, bank statement, etc.)
– if the trip is carried out through a travel company – an original letter from the tour operator, which indicates the time of the visit, destination and purpose of the visit,
– a sample of a notarized consent of a parent or parents, and a birth certificate of a child under 18 years of age (in the absence of both or one of the parents during the trip).
As ORIENT reported earlier, the Turkmen side appealed to the government of Türkiye with a request to temporarily introduce a visa regime for citizens of Turkmenistan with the aim of improving and maintaining on a systematic basis the rules of their stay in the republic.
At the moment, citizens of Turkmenistan can travel to Türkiye using charter flights between Turkmenbashi and Istanbul, which will be carried out every Monday and Friday until the end of September this year.
