The opening of the Olya-Turkmenbashi ferry line was discussed by the Turkmen delegation in Astrakhan


The delegation of the transport complex of Turkmenistan held a working meeting on cooperation in the fields of logistics, transport, trade and shipbuilding during a business visit to the Astrakhan region on Wednesday.
The platform for the meeting was provided by the Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after Admiral General F.M. Apraksin (CISRT). On the Astrakhan side, the meeting was organized by the Regional Ministry of Industry and Natural Resources.

The agenda of the meeting included the construction of a logistics center of Turkmenistan on the territory of the SEZ in the Astrakhan region, the opening of regular ferry services between the ports of Olya and Turkmenbashi, the formation of a special cargo base for its operation and the development of cooperation in the field of shipbuilding.

The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by the Deputy head of the "Turkmen Sea and River Routes" agency Seyitguly Bayseyidov, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Natural Resources Mikhail Kabakov spoke from the Government of the Astrakhan region. The event was attended by the CEO of JSC "SEZ "Lotos" Sergey Milushkin and other responsible persons, as well as the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Guich Garayev and Director of CISRT Olga Kartashova.

This university carries out a lot of work on training personnel for all spheres of water transport not only in Russia, but also in Turkmenistan. The workshop showed the significance and importance of the work on the professional training of future specialists in the water transport industry.

After the meeting, the members of the Turkmen delegation inspected the educational and training base of the institute, the flagship of naval education in the Caspian Sea.
