Iran is ready to expand the transit of Turkmen gas to neighboring countries

Taking into account the successful experience of swap deliveries of Turkmen gas to Azerbaijan through Iran, official Tehran is ready to expand the transit of the "blue fuel" from Turkmenistan to neighboring countries.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran for Economic Diplomacy Mehdi Safari during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Shahim Abdrahmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector in the Turkmen government, the Mehr news agency writes.
The meeting also discussed the issue of providing Turkmenistan through Iran with the access to the country's southern ports, such as Bandar-Abbas and Chabahar, to implement the transit potential of both countries.
