Issues of the international and regional agenda were discussed at the meeting, as well as the areas of cooperation and opportunities to increase the interaction in the common interests.

The parties signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at intensifying relations, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, energy, water and food security sectors.

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council also held meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Shahim Abdrakhmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister for Trade Batyr Atdayev, Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakyev, and other leaders.
