President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the country's readiness to significantly increase energy supplies and expand their transit configuration in Central Asia at the summit of the heads of state of the region, TASS reports.

Recalling that a major energy project has already been implemented in Central Asia - the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline - the Turkmen leader noted the opportunity to continue and expand partnership in the energy sector.

The 4th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia was held in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata. As a result of the summit, a number of documents aimed at expanding partnerships in the region were signed.
