Documents on transport cooperation between Turkmenistan and foreign partners signed
A solid package of bilateral documents was signed today by the heads of state transport agencies and enterprises of Turkmenistan with foreign partners and heads of foreign companies at the conference "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development" in Ashgabat.
Turkmenistan Railways Agency and China Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on projects for the development, modernization and electrification of the railway infrastructure of Turkmenistan. Also OJSC "Railways" signed a Memorandum of Understanding with this corporation.
Turkmenistan Airline signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of cooperation in the field of maintenance, repair, and cargo transportation with the German company Lufthansa Consulting GmbH.
Closed Joint-Stock Company "Marine Merchant Fleet" signed an Agreement with the Kazakhstani Limited Liability Company "Port Kuryk" on cooperation in the field of maritime transport.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the International Sea Port of the city of Turkmenbashi and the joint-stock company Uztemirelcontainer of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Balkan" signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of shipbuilding with the Chinese China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC).
Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of international freight transportation with Association of Freight Forwarders of Afghanistan (AAFCO).
Also, various agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between private transport companies of Turkmenistan with foreign partners.
