National ships enabled to increase the supply of Turkmen oil products
The modern International Sea Port and new national ships built in the city of Turkmenbashi made it possible to establish stable supplies of Turkmen oil products abroad.
This was stated by Chairman of the Agency "Turkmen Deniz Derya Yollary" Agamurad Khayytmuradov at the conference "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development" in Ashgabat.
As part of innovative projects, Turkmenistan has built and purchased 7 modern ships for transporting oil products, which significantly increased the competitiveness of the domestic fleet, the head of the agency said.
-Currently, these vessels make international flights between the Caspian ports and successfully represent Turkmenistan in international markets,- Khayytmuradov said.
At the same time, Turkmenistan purchased and upgraded four tugboats and two high-speed passenger ships to improve operation and expand the range of services provided by the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi.
The goal of Turkmenistan is to turn its sea harbor on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea into one of the most powerful ports in the region and the largest transport and logistics center in the world, which will coordinate transportation by sea, rail and air on the Eurasian continent.
– In this regard, we invite all interested companies to cooperate at the International Sea Port of the city of Turkmenbashi,- said the Chairman of the “Turkmen Deniz Derya Yollary” Agency.
