Ashgabat Transport Forum – to start in less than a day

Over the past two years, due to Covid-19 pandemic, the regular pace of world affairs has slowed down, and in some places, transport and travel communications have practically stopped. The ongoing accelerated vaccination allows the transport and tourism sectors to gradually restore their full capacity. And now, more than ever, it is important to exchange ideas. share experiences, and make commitments. And these are the main goals of the conference "International transport and transit corridors: interconnectedness and development", which will be held on July 18-19 in Ashgabat.
The conference has garnered worldwide attention - over 300 delegates will attend the forum in person and over a hundred more will join online using the Zoom platform. The first day of the Conference will feature a plenary session in the morning, followed by two sessions in the afternoon. Second day will consist of one morning session, followed by one-to-one meetings of senior government officials of Turkmenistan with representatives of private and international companies. The framework of the conference provisions a sight-seeing tour of International Autobahn and International Airport of Ashgabat on July 19, 2022 and of Turkmenbashi International Port and National Tourist Zone “Avaza” on July 20, 2022.
The conference was supported by leading Turkmen and international companies specializing in local, regional and international logistics. This support includes platinum partnerships (Ege Logistics), as well as gold (Kelk and Halkara Turkmen Logistics), silver (Alem TV, Turkmen Ak Yol, Ynamly Yol, Altyn Dowur) and bronze (UlagExh, THADA, Mermer Kenar, At Abray, Turkmen Deniz Hyzmatlar) partners. Such partnership support testifies to the relevance of convening a conference as a tool for the revival of post-pandemic international transport and transit corridors.
Among the forum speakers: Mammetkan Chakyyev - Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Vadim Zakharenko - Head of the IRU Permanent Mission in Eurasia, Dmitry Shlapachenko - UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Larisa Kislyakova - Chairman of the Partnership for Transport and Logistics in Central Asia.
