More than 400 delegates have registered for the “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development” conference, which is just a few days away.

A large forum will be held on July 18-19 in Ashgabat and will bring together more than 170 heads of foreign companies, about 90 - local companies. Transport is one of the most powerful resources for uniting people and peoples, countries, regions and continents. The transport system of any state is not an end in itself, it serves to ensure that our societies are integral, that a good education, the values of culture and the benefits of civilization are available to everyone. And good transport interconnectedness between states opens up great opportunities for the development of trade, scientific exchanges, and industrial integration.

That is why the issues of post-pandemic recovery of the transport and logistics sector are today at the forefront of global economic processes and are on the agenda of the Ashgabat forum.

The conference will bring together representatives of government and business, profile and related companies from different countries to exchange ideas, discuss connectivity strategies, policies for digitalization and decarbonization of the sector, and the best solutions in the field of freight and passenger mobility. In addition, it will also serve as a platform for interested delegates to communicate with officials holding key positions in the Turkmen transport sector for a more detailed review of proposals and potential projects - both online and in person.

And after the forum, on July 20, it is planned to organize a trip to Turkmenbashi and excursions to the seaport of the same name and the Avaza national tourist zone for participants in Ashgabat.

The international conference was convened on the initiative of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The main organizers are all transport departments "Turkmendemirellary" (Turkmen Railways), "Turkmenavtoulaglary" (Turkmenavtotrans), "Turkmendenizderyayollary" (Turkmen sea and river routes), "Turkmenhowayollary" ("Turkmenistan Airlines") and the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM)
