Turkmenistan invites artisans and applied workers to the international festival
The international festival "Crafts and decorative-applied arts in the heritage of the peoples of the world" will be held this autumn in the city of Turkmenabat (Lebap region). It is scheduled for October 11-14.
Deputy Prime Minister for Culture Myakhrijemal Mammedova spoke about plans on organization of this event at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Wednesday.
The program of the festival includes exhibitions, fairs, master classes, symposiums and other events.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov supported the idea of an international cultural forum, noting that such formats of interethnic communication contribute to the development of friendly relations and the establishment of an atmosphere of trust in the dialogue between states.
