Minimum wage to be revised in Turkmenistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov to revise the minimum wage in the country anew, the official Turkmen press writes today.

At the same time, the Turkmen leader ordered to put funds into the State Budget for the next year to increase wages, pensions and student benefits, as well as the construction of housing for the needy in every district and city of the country.

At an expanded Cabinet meeting on Friday, the head of state also signed a decree on a 10% increase in salaries, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships from January 1, 2023.

According to the decree, starting next year, the minimum wage will be set at 1,160 manats. The base value for calculating the minimum amount of pensions will be set at 450 manats, and state pensions – 430 manats.

The minimum amount of pensions for participants of the Great Patriotic War will be set at 1,880 manats, and for spouses of participants in the 1941-1945 war – at 550 manats.
