More than 246 thousand square meters of housing were put into operation in rural areas of Turkmenistan from January to June 2022 as part of the relevant national program aimed at improving the standard of living in peripheral areas.
In addition, in accordance with the "rural" program, three hospitals were built during this period, work continues on other facilities, both of social and industrial significance.
This was reported by the Minister of Finance and Economy Mukhammetgeldy Serdarov at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that since the beginning of the implementation of the national "rural" program in 2008, more than 900 new facilities have been commissioned in the regions of the country, tens of thousands of kilometers of engineering networks have been laid.
The meeting also approved a program to transform the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, cities in districts and district centers for the next five-year period - until 2028.
