The President of Turkmenistan has appointed a new Deputy Prime Minister for financial and economic issues

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has appointed a new Deputy Prime Minister for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations, dismissing Muhammetguly Mukhammedov from this position due to his transfer to another job.

Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, who until that moment had been the rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management (since April 2020), was appointed to this position.

Previously, Hojamyrat Geldimyradov already served as deputy chairman of the Turkmen government for the financial and economic bloc, in 2007-2009.
