The contribution of the Turkic civilization in the development of world culture studied in Paris
The international forum “The Great Steppe: Cultural Heritage and Role in World History”, dedicated to the history of Turkic civilization and its contribution to world culture, began its work in Paris. The forum is organized by the International Turkic Academy with the assistance of UNESCO.
Scientists and representatives of international organizations will discuss the contribution of the Turkic peoples and states to world civilization and the formation of universal cultural values. The forum consists of three sessions: “Great Steppe: horizons of space and time”, “Turkic civilization and its contribution to world culture” and “Rethinking Turkic history: new approaches and perspectives”.
The world today demonstrates increased interest in the Turkic civilization. So, in 2016, the New York Metropolitan Museum successfully hosted the exhibition “The Court World and the Universe: The Great Century of the Seljuks”. Turkmenistan has provided for this exhibition items from the collections of the State Museum of Turkmenistan, the Mary local history and Kunyaurgench museums, which give an idea of the level of development of art in the State of the Great Seljuks.
One of the most famous periods of flourishing of the Turkic civilization in the region from Iran to Anatolia is associated with the rule of the Seljuk Dynasty and their immediate successors. The Seljuk Dynasty dates back to the Turkic nomadic tribes of Central Asia. They founded a vast empire in Western Asia (present-day Turkmenistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey).
According to historical data, the board of the Seljuk dynasty was marked by an unprecedented flourishing of science, the arts, commerce and crafts.
