Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay announced plans to hold a trilateral Turkey-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan summit.

“Noting that (Turkish President Recep Tayyip) Erdogan invited Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Turkey, Oktay said that after the visit, a trilateral Turkey-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan summit would take place,” Turkish TV channel TRT Haber reports.

Fuat Oktay paid a visit to Ashgabat this week and was received by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who received a written message from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as an invitation to visit the Republic of Turkey.

As part of Oktay's visit, the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Turkmen-Turkish business forum were held.
