Putin will fly to Ashgabat from Dushanbe

President of Russia Vladimir Putin, before arriving in Turkmenistan to attend a meeting of the heads of states of the Caspian Five, will visit Tajikistan early next week. This was reported on Sunday in the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin."
“Vladimir Putin will fly to Dushanbe for big talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. A talk and a working lunch are planned. Immediately after, the President of the Russian Federation will fly to Turkmenistan to participate in the Caspian Summit,” the program’s website says.
This will be the first foreign trip of the Russian leader since the start of a special military operation to protect Donbass, Russian media say.
After a visit to Ashgabat, on June 30, Putin will meet in Moscow with Indonesian President Joko Widodo. His country is the chairman of the G20 in 2022 and will host the summit of the organization. Earlier it was reported that Putin accepted an invitation to attend the G20 summit. Such an invitation was made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as well, despite the fact that his country is not part of the G20. Zelensky also accepted the invitation, Izvestia writes.
Widodo said that within the framework of meetings with his colleagues from the Russian Federation and Ukraine, he is going to raise the issue of a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. According to him, he wants to invite the two leaders to “open space for dialogue,” Gazeta.Ru notes.
