A mosque for 5.5 thousand people to be built in the new administrative center of Akhal


Chairman of the Upper House of the Turkmen Parliament, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, supported the wishes to build a modern mosque in the new administrative center of Akhal, the official Turkmen press writes today.
It must be erected, providing for the possibility of simultaneous visits by 5.5 thousand people, said the head of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, addressing the head of the State Committee for the construction of the center of the Akhal region Deryageldi Orazov.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also drew attention to the need to perpetuate the memory of figures who left a noticeable mark in the history of the country by naming after them the avenues and streets of the new city. Also, the buildings of the city will be named after prominent personalities, depending on their specifics and purpose.
Previously, the Department of the Muftiate of Turkmenistan opened a special charitable account for donations that will be directed to the construction of mosques in all regions of the country.
