The practice of swap supplies is already being used by Turkmenistan and Iran - in the field of natural gas exchange, which Turkmenistan supplies to Iran, and Iran supplies to Azerbaijan. In this context, the negotiations discussed the possibility of opening new export destinations through a swap to other markets.

It was also noted during the meetings in Tehran that the work on the payment of the debt by the Iranian side for the natural gas previously supplied to it by Turkmenistan is underway, and this issue will be resolved.
