The President of Turkmenistan signed a decree according to which the Ministry of Agriculture of the country, the administrations of the Balkan and Mary regions should ensure the production of sugar beet in 2022 at the level of 224 thousand tons.

In total, 17 thousand 900 hectares have been allocated for this culture in these two regions. In the Balkan region, 3 thousand hectares are occupied for beet cultivation, from which 24 thousand tons of root crops are planned to be harvested. Well, 200 thousand tons are planned to be received from an area of 14 thousand 900 hectares in the Mary region.
