Turkmen grain growers have started the harvesting campaign

Mass harvesting of wheat began on Friday in Turkmenistan. The harvesting campaign has started in three of the five regions of the country – Akhal, Lebap and Mary. A week later, on June 10, the western and northern regions – the Balkan and Dashoguz regions – will start the mowing season.
The grain growers are faced with the task of harvesting 1.4 million tons of grain. The largest wheat area is in Akhal, followed by Mary and Lebap, Dashoguz, and the smallest land for winter grains is allocated in the coastal region - the Balkan. The total area of grain fields in the country makes 690 thousand hectares.

2,64 combines have been prepared for the harvest, which will work in the fields around the clock. The repair and technical teams are equipped with consumables, fuel and lubricants and spare parts, on which the continuity of the mowing depends. The harvest will be transported by 9.8 thousand trucks, and delivered to 154 elevators.
Settlements with farmers will be carried out in local branches of “Daikhanbank”.
