Turkmenistan and the world celebrate Bicycle Day

World Bicycle Day, June 3, Turkmenistan traditionally celebrates with mass bike rides. In Ashgabat, this action of many thousands is held with the participation of the country's leadership, foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations working in Turkmenistan, athletes and students.
The route is also almost traditional and runs from the foothills of the Kopetdag, Chandybil Avenue, to the center of the capital - to the Rukhyet Palace.
According to ORIENT, this year there is no restriction on the movement of private vehicles (except for the streets along which the bike ride will take place in the morning).
Together with Turkmenistan, many countries will celebrate this holiday for the fifth time. Over these few years, it has been loved and appreciated everywhere, which today is a rare manifestation of the unity of states, peoples, international organizations and people in our complex changing world.
The resolution on Bicycle Day, adopted on the proposal of Turkmenistan by the UN General Assembly, calls on member countries of the Community of Nations to “emphasize cycling in cross-cutting strategies ... and include cycling network infrastructure that connects communities in international, regional, national and subnational policies and development programs".
