Bidding on SCRMET: carbamide sold to the foreign market for almost $90 million


On Friday, May 27, at the auction of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, an entrepreneur from the UAE purchased 250 thousand tons of carbamide of the "B" brand, ORIENT correspondent reports.
At the auction, an agreement was reached on the sale of goods at $ 357.50 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $89.3 million.
The key producers of urea in Turkmenistan are the plants "Garabogazkarbamide" and "Tdezhnkarbamide". The Garabogaz enterprise is the largest in Central Asia and is designed to produce 1 million 155 thousand tons of fertilizers per year.
