The President of Turkmenistan has issued a severe reprimand to the head of the water sector

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov issued a severe reprimand to the Chairman of the State Water Management Committee Guizgeldy Baijanov. The disciplinary penalty was announced at a visiting meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on issues of socio-economic development of the Dashoguz region held on Thursday.
The Head of State reprimanded Baijanov severely for weakening control over planned measures to improve water supply to the population of Dashoguz region, rational water use, creation of appropriate reserves and effective operation of water facilities.
