The Federation of Tennis of Turkmenistan establishes international cooperation

For the first time since the founding of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan (TTF) in 1994, its Secretary General Eziz Dovletov met with the head of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), David Haggerty.
During the meeting, which was held at the invitation of the ITF in London, a number of proposals were made to hold various international tennis competitions in Turkmenistan. David Haggerty got acquainted with the new site of the Federation of Turkmenistan (ttf.gov.tm), which was launched this month.
The representative of the national federation of Turkmenistan also discussed the prospects for interaction with the heads of various departments of the international tennis structure, including departments for youth and adult tournaments, beach tennis, refereeing and others.
The meeting of Eziz Dovletov with the President of the Russian Tennis Federation Shamil Tarpishchev was the first in the history of Turkmen tennis.
The parties discussed issues of conducting joint training sessions for tennis players of the two countries, the possibility of the participation of Turkmen mentors in coaching and judicial seminars in Russia, as well as prospects for cooperation in the field of sports medicine.
It should be noted that in June of this year Turkmenistan will host the Central Asian Tennis Team Championship for children under 12 years old. In preparation for the championship, the team of Turkmenistan in tennis consisting of 14 athletes held training camps at the academy of the famous Uzbek tennis player Iroda Tulyaganova (Pro Tennis Team Iroda Tulyaganova).
