The memory of the deceased head of the UAE was honored at the Geoktepe mosque
With the participation of Chairman of the Upper House of the Turkmen Parliament, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a sadaqa was given in the mosque of the Geoktepe district in the Akhal region of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the commemoration of deceased UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Before the start of the sadaqa, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh, addressed the audience, noting that the news of the untimely death of the head of the UAE was received with a sense of sorrow, and on behalf of the Turkmen leader, the country's delegation took part in commemoration events in Abu Dhabi.
The death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a great loss not only for the people of the UAE, but for the entire world community, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. He also stressed that the late UAE President left an unfading mark on the Islamic world.
Speaking about cooperation with Turkmenistan, the Chairman of the People’s Council noted the great merits of the deceased head of the UAE in the construction of a mosque in Ashgabat, the Dovletliler Koshgi Orphanage, the Ene Myahri Center, the International Center for Internal Diseases and the Children’s Hospital in the Mary region, modernization of the sanatorium "Archman" and the airport of the city of Mary.
– All this work, which our people will always remember with gratitude, is a visible symbol of cooperation based on goodwill, friendship and brotherhood, – Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
Also sadaqas, on the occasion of the day of commemoration of the deceased head of the UAE, were given at the Keshi Mosque and at the Dovletliler Koshgi Orphanage.
