Serdar Berdimuhamedov set tasks to create new jobs
The total volume of capital investments disbursed in Turkmenistan in January-April 2022 amounted to 7.8 billion manats. During the first four months of the year, 492 new economic entities were registered in the country, in which about 1.7 thousand jobs were created. These figures were announced during a meeting held on Thursday by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with members of the government via videoconference.
At the meeting, the key topics of which were the effective disbursement of investments and the creation of conditions for increasing the employment of the population, it was noted that in January-April, 59% of all capital investments were in the social sphere, 41% - in the development of the country's industrial potential.
The vice-premiers reported to the head of state on the ongoing activities in their subordinate sectors to expand the production base and increase the number of jobs. In particular, a significant increase in employment rates was noted in the industrial sector due to the opening of new enterprises.
However, the president said that there is still much to be done in this area, and this work is related to the further development of the country's regions, its industrial diversification and digitalization.
In this context, the head of state outlined the main tasks for creating jobs, rational use of natural resources, stimulating business activity, attracting domestic and foreign investments, which in general will help increase the economic competitiveness of Turkmenistan.
