The Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the CIS bodies took part in the celebrations on May 9 in Minsk
The May 9 holiday in Minsk opened with a Procession of generations, when a formed column of participants marched to the Victory Monument. Wreaths were laid at the memorial, which was attended by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
The events were attended by a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee Leonid Anfimov and members of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member States to the statutory and other CIS bodies, including from Turkmenistan.
All those present at Victory Square honored the memory of the fallen heroes with a minute of silence. The holiday in Minsk will end with a concert on Victory Square, the traditional finale of the event was fireworks.
