Halk Maslakhaty approved a package of bills

The Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh (the House of Representatives of the Turkmen Parliament - the People's Council) approved the bills adopted by the deputies of the Mejlis this week.
The new acts concern the introduction of additions and amendments to a number of existing laws of Turkmenistan, in particular, the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Code of Civil Procedure and the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the laws “On Road Safety”, “On Customs Service”, “On plant quarantine, etc.
The changes are conditioned by the tasks of modernizing national legislation and legal support for socio-economic programs in the country, including a long-term, 30-year development strategy.
