Turkmenistan's GDP growth at the level of 6.2%, foreign trade turnover – 42.5%


The results of the four months of 2022 indicate the stable development of the Turkmen economy, which managed to maintain the growth of gross domestic product at the level of 6.2%. This was stated during a government meeting on Friday by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
According to the report of Deputy Prime Minister Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov, who oversees the financial and economic sector, the volume of disbursed investments amounted to 6.2 billion manats. At the same time, 79.7% of the state budget funds were allocated for financing the social sphere.
Retail trade turnover increased by 10.5% compared to the corresponding period last year, and foreign trade turnover – by 42.5%.
Despite such indicators, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the vice premiers to develop measures to improve the activities of ministries and departments, as well as to prepare reports on the progress of digitalization in the country and in all sectors for the next government meeting.
