Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday, congratulating him on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr and accepting congratulations in return.

During the conversation, the heads of State positively assessed the state of bilateral cooperation and its prospects, taking into account the accumulated extensive experience of cooperation in all areas.

Fruitful contacts were also noted in the format of international and regional structures – at the UN, ECO and the Organization of Turkic States.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkey is one of the key trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan, and in this context, the role of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and the Turkmen-Turkish business council in enhancing cooperation was noted.
