SCRMET trading: LNG price up again


On Saturday trading on April 30, 7 transactions were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (GTSBT) for a total amount of more than $3.2 million and over 6.7 million Turkmen manats, an ORIENT correspondent reports.
Buyers from Afghanistan bought 5,000 tons of liquefied natural gas worth more than $2.9 million, and brokers from companies from the United Arab Emirates bought 88,000 kg of cotton yarn for weaving production worth $290,400 and 22,000 kg of this product for 968.5 thousand Turkmen manats.
320 tons of high-density polyethylene worth 5.7 million manats and Turkmen handmade carpets worth14,800 manats were sold to the domestic market.
The results of this week's trading were marked by a stable growth in prices for liquefied gas - compared to Monday's sales prices, the price of LNG increased by almost $90 and amounted to $591 per ton.
