The Russian automaker AvtoVAZ could open factories in Turkmenistan and in a number of other CIS countries. This opinion was expressed in an interview with Russian media by automotive expert Vyacheslav Subbotin.

The host of the ‘MinTrans’ program on Russian television noted that the markets of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus could take over the production and sale of the Russian car industry, provided that there is a steady demand for AvtoVAZ end products in partner countries.

Earlier it became known that the full-cycle production of Lada cars will be launched in Uzbekistan. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the country Khurram Teshabaev.

AvtoVAZ is the largest automaker in Russia and Eastern Europe. The first plant was founded in 1966 in Tolyatti. The headquarters and main production of the company's cars remains in this city.
