Center for combating hereditary diseases to be created in Turkmenistan


It is necessary to create a Center for Combating Somatic Childhood Diseases in Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said during celebrations marking the opening of a multidisciplinary hospital in the Balkan region.
Somatic diseases include almost all diseases, except for mental ones, and their diagnosis involves genetic research and can help to detect and effectively treat hereditary diseases at an early age.
The opening of this kind of medical institution within the structure of the General Directorate of International Medical Centers corresponds to the main feature and goal of the State Health Program, which is the timely detection and prevention of diseases.
It is advisable to build the new Center on the square next to the International Center for Surgery and Endocrinology, President Berdimuhamedov stressed, and gave instructions to government members to prepare for the construction of the facility.
