Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation: in anticipation of new areas of cooperation

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation on Friday in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly ties.
The festive mood of the conversation was supported by an expression of gratitude for the support and attention to the development of bilateral relations, a statement of the effectiveness of Turkmen-Russian relations, satisfaction for the mutual support of ideas relevant to the world community - both from Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.
It was emphasized that, despite the difficult situations that have developed in the world, progress is being observed in Turkmen-Russian relations in such important areas as trade, economic, fuel and energy and other areas.
But international observers first of all drew attention to the fact that during the telephone conversation (which was noted in the official chronicle), the emphasis was placed on the fact that the planned visit to Ashgabat of the Russian government delegation will allow defining new directions in the Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
Although there is nothing new in this – a step that is quite predictable.
