Two gold, silver and two bronze medals of the International Kickboxing Cup
The national team of Turkmenistan won medals of every value at the IV International Turkish Open Kickboxing European Cup, which took place in Antalya, Turkey from 4-7 April 2019. Pygy Silabov (–60 kg) and Gochmyrat Jumaniyazov (–75 kg) won gold medals, Yazberdy Payanov (–57 kg) won the only silver medal, and Akmyrat Akiyev (–67 kg) and Muhammet Gurbanov (–81 kg) won bronze medals. The tournament, which has already become the annual visiting card of the kickboxing of the Eurasian continent, gathered more than two thousand athletes from 38 countries.
Delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the elections for AFC President position
The AFC confirmed the final list of candidates who will stand for election for the term 2019-2023 at the 29th AFC Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 6, 2019. During the visit to Malaysia, Arslan Aynazarov, Secretary General of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT), held a series of meetings with the FIFA management. At the meeting with FIFA President and FIFA Secretary General, Aynazarov discussed issues on cooperation, development of Turkmen football, opportunities for exchanging experience in children’s and youth football, and other topics.
