The music of the American southwest conquered the Ashgabat audience

As part of his tour in Turkmenistan, the ensemble of Mexican folk music mariachi performed to Ashgabat spectators, presenting them with unique music motifs from South-West America.
Mariachi Champaña Nevín is considered one of the leading ensembles of this style. The team organically combines traditional Mexican genre and European classical music.
Having started the concert with the famous song “Del Mariachi”, the musicians, dressed in characteristic costumes, deserved love of the metropolitan audience with shrill vocals, amazing sound of wind and string instruments - violins, guitars, vihuela and trumpet. With the same enthusiasm and loud applause, the public took in the well-known “Besame mucho” - a song written in the Cuban bolero genre and famous throughout the world.
The skill of the musicians, who are led by Jeffrey Nevin, easily rearranged from Mexican folk music to transcriptions of popular literary works, is admirable. For two decades, they perform concerts in the United States, Mexico, Russia, France, China.
And today they are in Turkmenistan, where for the first time the Mexican mariachi sounds of the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO can be heard. On the same stage, they performed with the orchestra "Ashgabat", once again confirming that the music knows no boundaries.
The residents of Balkanabat and Turkmenbashi, where the ensemble also gave concerts, met with the work of Mariachi Champaña Nevín, too.
During the visit to Turkmenistan, the ensemble gave master classes for students and teachers of the Turkmen National Conservatory and D. Ovezov State Specialized Music School.
