Japanese technology will come to agriculture and water management of Turkmenistan

The delegation of Turkmenistan, who was on a visit to the Land of the Rising Sun, discussed the use of advanced Japanese technologies in the field of water and agriculture. Following the negotiations, a Memorandum of Understanding on the purchase of a large batch of earth-moving equipment was signed with Komatsu. In cooperation with this largest manufacturer in the field of mechanical engineering, Turkmenistan is implementing an initiative on scientifically sound management and rational use of water resources. Meetings with representatives of companies such as Itochu, Marubeni, Sojitz were also held to exchange experience in the application of water purification technologies. Among the topics considered for interaction are the warning of mudflows and their removal from populated areas. Negotiations on the intensification of cooperation in the field of water and agriculture were also held with the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of Japan and the general director of the department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency
