Independent body of doping control - for the protection of clean sport

[video width="854" height="480" mp4="https://cdn.orient.tm/storage/app/media/en/2017/09/1-ОР_круглый_стол_ДОПИНГ_ВИДЕО_25.09.2017.mp4"][/video] Recently a Round Table was organized in the Olympic town of the Turkmen capital with the participation of representatives of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and other international anti-doping organizations. During the meeting, various issues related to the organization by the independent authority the doping testing of participants of the 5th Asian Games “Ashgabat 2017”, the protection of clean sports, the role and responsibility of personnel were discussed. To preserve the purity of Turkmen sports and coordination in the fight against doping, Turkmenistan is developing cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). As a result of close work with the authoritative international sports organization, on March 17th, 2017, the National Anti-Doping Agency of Turkmenistan (NADAT) was officially opened. This Agency was created by the National Olympic Committee (NOC), the State Committee for Tourism and Sport, The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, Youth Organization and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. Even in the process of registration NADAT together with the Department of Medicine and Anti-Doping of the Executive Committee on the preparation of the 5th Asian Games began testing athletes during the kickboxing competition in Ashgabat. Agreed with the Asian Kickboxing Confederation, the Agency developed methodology for collecting samples that met all the procedural requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code. Dozens of athletes passed doping tests carried out by NADAT experts, after which their results were sent to the WADA laboratory in Doha (Qatar) for verification. During the 5th Asian Games "Ashgabat 2017", NADAT conducted an educational program "Outreach" designed to familiarize participants of the competitions with the work of anti-doping organizations, as well as inform about the consequences of doping use. More than a thousand athletes from different countries took part in this program. The nearest plans of NADAT include the development of the National Anti-Doping Program of Turkmenistan for 2017-2018.
