Children's Rehabilitation Center in Ahal will be under the charge of the Charitable Foundation
The children's health and rehabilitation center, which is being built on the territory of the new administrative center of the Akhal region, will be transferred to the balance of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and assigned to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation.
The resolution on this was signed by the President of Turkmenistan during a meeting with the country's parliamentarians - members of the Halk Maslakhaty and deputies of the Mejlis on Tuesday.
Speaking at the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the Ahal Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, which includes a kindergarten for 150 children, a hospital for 120 children and a recreation complex, will operate under the auspices of the Foundation. All conditions will be created for children in need of care who will be brought up in this center.
The Turkmen leader recalled that the Charitable Foundation ensures the right to full participation in the life of society for children in need of care, including material support in providing them with medical care, their education in schools and other issues.
In accordance with the resolution, the Council of Elders of seven members was established under the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. The Chairman of the Council is the founder of the Foundation. Based on the traditions and customs of the Turkmen people, the national legislation of the Council, among other things, will consider the adoption of children who have lost their parents, giving them a name and surname.
The President said that the funds of the Charitable Foundation, which has already paid for complex medical operations for several sick children, will continue to be allocated for the treatment of children in need of care in medical institutions of the country, and, if necessary, abroad. Issues related to raising children under the auspices of the Foundation, receiving secondary specialized and higher education, and providing them with housing will also be in the focus of constant attention, the head of state said.
As the president noted, enterprises, companies and citizens make contributions to the Foundation, and this is another manifestation of the humane traditions of the Turkmen people, including charity. Berdimuhamedov stressed that the activities of the Foundation to assist children in need of guardianship will be expanded and improved.
