Ashgabat convened an international forum of representatives of the media industry
The TV and radio broadcasting center "Turkmenistan" has become the main platform for the international media forum dedicated to the role of the media in shaping the country's authority in the world community. The forum was held in a hybrid format on Friday with the participation of the leadership of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and a number of transnational corporations, well-known foreign TV channels.
High-ranking representatives of the Russian news agency TASS and the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the South Korean broadcaster KBS, the British channel Setanta Sports, the Turkish channel TRT, the Azerbaijani television and radio broadcasting, the Chinese media corporation "CGTN in Russian" and other delegates who connected to the forum remotely, as well as Turkmen participants spoke at the forum.
It was noted that the forum is taking place at a fateful time for Turkmenistan when the attention of the world journalistic community is riveted to it on the eve of the presidential elections. The holding of this meeting underlines the aspirations of Turkmenistan to further develop diplomatic relations with the countries of the world and good neighborly relations in the region.
During the exchange of views, ideas and proposals for cooperation, the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company recalled that the impromptu exclusive interview of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to columnist Robert Frantsev in 2018 was a huge creative success for the Rossiya 24 TV channel and expressed hope for a repeat of such a grandiose success.
