The fruits of industrialization: Turkmenistan develops a system for processing agricultural products


For three months of 2021, Turkmenistan significantly increased the processing of agricultural products by modernizing existing and opening new processing enterprises, both in private and public sectors.
In January-March, the production of sausages in the country increased by 24.4%, whole milk products - 12.7%, butter - 23.9%, vegetable oil - 23.7%, confectionery - 12.5%, mineral waters and drinks - 49.4%. ORIENT correspondent was informed about this in the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics.
- In the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, we promote the establishment of cooperation between agricultural producers and factories that process their raw materials. Such enterprises in Turkmenistan receive lucrative loans for the purchase of modern technology, which makes the final product high-quality and competitive, says Shamammed Annayev, member of the board of UIET.
Increase in the potential of the food industry contributes to an increase in the range of domestic products. Today, local food products confidently compete with imported counterparts, as they are produced in accordance with world quality standards. This was facilitated by thoughtful government support - investments in the industrialization of the agro-industrial complex.
