Preparation of events with the participation of the heads of Turkmenistan and China was discussed in Ashgabat
Preparations for the China-Central Asia summit and the opening of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing were discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador of China Qian Naicheng.
During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, the diplomats assessed the state of partnership in key areas and issues related to upcoming high-level events with the participation of heads of state, in particular, with the China-Central Asian states summit, as well as the solemn the opening ceremony of the 2022 Olympics, which will be held on February 4.
Earlier, on January 6, during a meeting with President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chinese Ambassador handed the Turkmen leader an official diplomatic invitation to the XXIV Winter Olympic Games with a message from Xi Jinping.
