On April 5, Turkmen artists will take part in a joint concert of masters of art of the Commonwealth dedicated to granting Brest the status of the cultural capital of the CIS-2019. The delegation will include "Star of the Year 2016" singer Zuleikha Kakaeva and ballet dancers of the State Dance Ensemble of Turkmenistan. They will present the audience with bright folk vocal compositions and national dances. People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Polad Bul-bul oglu, People’s Artist of the USSR Yevgeny Doga, Russian orchestra “Moscow” and popular artists and groups from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine will perform on the same stage with Turkmen artists. In addition to the concert, an international round table will be held in Brest, at which artists will discuss further events and creative projects with the participation of representatives of the Commonwealth countries. The “Cultural Capitals of the Commonwealth” program, launched on December 5, 2012 in Ashgabat, is one of the key cultural projects and is actively supported by Turkmenistan during its chairmanship in the CIS in 2019. The cultural centers annually announce non-metropolitan cities, where international creative festivals are held, uniting and presenting cultural potentials of the CIS countries.
