Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke at the Summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States
Today, on March 31, in a videoconference format the informal Summit of The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) in which at the invitation of first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev as the guest of honour head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated, was held.
The Turkic Council exists since 2009 and unites the Azerbaijan Republic, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kirghiz Republic, Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkish Republic, and also Hungary - as the country-observer.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan and honourable chairman of the council of cooperation took part in today's session of Turkic speaking states Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of the Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev, president of the Kirghiz Republic Sadyr Japarov, president of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, prime minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, Secretary general of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev.
During the summit work partnership expansion between the countries in which all councillors of cooperation of Turkic speaking states are interested, was discussed.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his speech at the Summit told about adherence of its country to constructive interaction at different levels and in different formats.
According to Berdimuhamedov, one of the major for today problems is the problem of maintenance of global energy security, also ecological issues and environmental protection are priority.
In his speech the Turkmen leader mentioned also the theme of transport-communication sphere.
Turkmenistan has undertaken steps on modernisation of its own modern transport-communication system and formation of international transport-transit corridors of international and regional levels which, we are convinced, will help consolidating efforts of the international community, president Berdimuhamedov told.
At the end of his speech the head of Turkmenistan expressed confidence of the further escalating of equal rights and mutually advantageous partnership between the countries that will be promoted by the Summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States and the issues and topics raised on its side-lines.
Leaders of the states-participants of the online meeting in turn supported activization of cooperation and increase of security and stability in the region and the world, and also expressed a great interest in partnership with Turkmenistan.
