Turkmenistan increased exports to Uzbekistan by almost 30% in a year
Turkmenistan exported products worth 450.6 million US dollars to Uzbekistan from January to November 2021. At the same time, Uzbekistan supplied goods worth $ 175.5 million to Turkmenistan. Thus, the foreign trade turnover of neighboring countries amounted to $ 626.1 million. Such preliminary data were published by the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Turkmenistan steadily maintains its position in the top ten trade partners of Uzbekistan, in 2021 it increased exports in relation to the same base value in 2020 by $ 103.7 million - by 29.9%, having risen from the 10th line of importers of Uzbekistan to the 8th.
At the same time, Uzbekistan increased the supply of its products to Turkmenistan by 48% and took 10th place in the import of a neighboring country.
