Society of Petroleum Engineers to hold a seminar in Ashgabat
Scientific seminar "Innovative technologies for the development of gas fields and the role of natural gas in the transition to a low-carbon future" is to be held in Ashgabat in May. The online event will be organized by the SC "Turkmengas" in partnership with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Gaffney Cline and "Turkmen Forum".
Senior specialists of SPE, which is the leading international non-profit professional organization of technicians in the petroleum industry that unites over 140,600 members, experts from the Scientific Research Institute under SC “Turkmengas” as well as academia and students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev are expected to attend the event.
They will discuss such major issues as methods of conducting gas-dynamic studies, computational tools for processing research materials, will review software, wellhead equipment for the operation of wells producing gas with high content of hydrogen sulfide, etc.
A round table discussion between the experts of the Scientific Research Institute of the SC "Turkmengas", lecturers and students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, Gaffney Cline as well as SPE is also planned to be held within the framework of the seminar. These discussions will serve as an excellent opportunity to exchange experience among various specialists covering a wide range of technical issues.
SPE aims to accumulate and disseminate knowledge in the field of oil exploration and production, as well as the development of related technologies. Its offices are based in such big cities as Moscow, Dallas, Houston, London, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. Senior experts of the Scientific Research Institute under SC “Turkmengas” have become members of SPE in 2021 and take an active part in its activities.
